Are There Any Weight Loss Tips Out There?

By Brett Nordin Of course everyone is looking for any free fast weight loss tip they can get their hands on. With weight loss and getting healthy, there are endless amounts of information out there that can help a person out. Weight loss tips are very popular and often a disappointment. I am going to sort through a few things and then fill you in on a free fast weight loss tip or two. Before you read endless amounts of different useful tips, it is best to figure out what results you really want to see. Well, most people say they want ‘fast’ results. What does that really mean.? Fast to me means 10 pounds in 2 days; where as fast to a different person may mean 10 pounds in a month. You see what I am getting at? Make sure what you want to achieve is healthy and realistic. Losing too much weight to quickly is usually very unhealthy but also depends on each individual. Really make a point of knowing what it is that you want, because there are too many different directions to take in weight loss. Now with that aside, lets get to the good stuff, a free weight loss tip! Have you ever really enjoyed your food? What I mean by that is, have you ever taken your time when eating a meal and actually focus on the taste and what you are eating. I can say that about 90% of people eat to quickly. Because of this, those people tend to eat more then what they need too. If you slow yourself down when you eat, it will allow your stomach time to realize when it’s full or not. The way I use to be was, I would eat fast and lots, which meant that I wasn’t giving my stomach time to tell me it was full. I would cram it so full so quick that finally once my stomach caught up, it would yell at me to stop and give me a stomach ache. All I needed to do was slow down and enjoy my food and before I knew it, I was eating half of what I usually was and I was a comfortable full by the end. Try and slow down when you eat, you too will notice your self eating less and feeling better. One more free weight loss tip I have is pretty straight forward, but you’ll probably think I am lying. It is, try to keep your self from feeling hungry. By no means am I suggesting that you always need to be full. It is a proven fact that if you only eat when your body becomes hungry, your body will then store more of that food just in case it gets hungry again. The body learns from its mistakes, so if you keep letting it get hungry then next time it gets food, it will store it for when you let it get hungry again. So make sure you have healthy little snacks to keep your body happy. If you keep your body from that hungry feeling, then it won’t keep storing that extra food, which in turn will shed some pounds. Each and every free weight loss tip can work. Try and find some that work best for you and stick with them. The free weight loss tips I talked about above are more simple life style changes that are sure to help you to achieve weight loss. Try them out and see for your self. Unhappy Couples

By Ross Bainbridge Marriage is a mental commitment between two adults. Whether these marriages produce happy or unhappy couples depends primarily on the partners involved. There are various factors that contribute to happy and unhappy couple relationships. An unhappy couple has a basic problem of communication. Unhappy couples are not able to share their emotions. Their beliefs mostly remain unshared. It is a fact that unhappy couples do not make good listeners. They do not share many aspects of their life with their partners. They are not able to comfortably communicate with each other. Unhappy couples often lack flexibility. They are not able to shift responsibilities as needed. It is very difficult for them to adapt to change. They are very rigid and stick to rules adamantly. Most unhappy couples get mixed up with aspects of togetherness and separateness. Emotional bonding is inevitable in any relationship, but unhappy couples seem to have a problem giving up individual space. Spending time with each other has to be a priority in any happy relationship. Personal compatibility is another important factor that affects their relationships. If partners are not comfortable with the others personality, they tend to be unhappy. Over possessive partners and lack in trust, further destroy the relationship. Temper tantrums and moodiness are other issues for conflict. Unhappy couples have bad conflict resolution skills. The conflict can reach unmanageable levels, and sometimes become so large that they cannot be solved. Unhappy couples need therapy by a good marriage counselor, who can help them with intervention at an early stage. If they approach a therapist at the right time, their problems can be sorted out with fewer complications. The therapist then can work with the couple to communicate more effectively and manage conflict in a more positive way. Unhappy couples can make their relationships better, with a little extra effort from both partners. A Woman’s Survival Guide

By Terry Coyier I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder ten years ago (after an initial diagnosis of major depressive disorder and a subsequent manic episode). It didnt come as a shock; in fact, it came as a relief finally an explanation to my strange behaviors, extreme mood swings and anger outbursts. Along with the diagnosis came a slew of new medications, therapy, and teaching my family how to deal with the new me; the me that soon found out everything she could on bipolar disorder and how to best deal with it. Today an abundance of information exists on bipolar disorder. When I was first diagnosed only a few books existed and I had no internet access, or so I thought. I have since found out that you can go to nearly any public library and have an instant connection to the web. One of the first books that helped me handle my new found situation has since been changed, but a new version of it is still available and is very useful. Its called How to Live Without Depression and Manic Depression, by Mary Ellen Copeland. Its a workbook actually and is worth every cent (last I checked it ran about $20.00). I promise, I do not get paid to recommend this book, I do so because it is like no other book like it on the market today. It not only helped me identify some of the feelings I was experiencing by offering long check lists of emotions, it assisted in getting me into a routine (this can be vital when first diagnosed and when you find yourself in overwhelming situations), and aided my family and friends by allowing them to peak into my life. Overall it helped me understand my life as a person suffering from a mental illness an invaluable insight. Okay, enough on the book. From this point on I will address bipolar disorder specifically, but many of the things Ive done to cope can be applied to many other illnesses. Women today face a multitude of issues that can be affected by bipolar disorder. A career, husbands or boyfriends, children, maintaining a home, illnesses, death and PMS are just a few major areas that can be involved. It is difficult enough to maintain the delicate balance that we call life when you dont have a debilitating illness, but add bipolar disorder to the mix and potential disaster is around every corner. First let me address the issue of family and friends. I have a tough rule, but it hasnt let me down yetif you cannot be supportive of me as I deal with my illness then I wont have you in my life. This is hard for some people to grasp, but believe me; you dont want people around you who are going to drag you down. You have enough on your plate just dealing with the illness. People who dont wish to at least try to understand, people who will tell you your illness is in your head, and people who dont wish to be supportive will all make your life 100 times harder in the long run. A mental illness needs to be treated like any other medical illness. If you had cancer, people wouldnt try and tell you its all in your head well the same applies here. The decision to cut out certain people from your life is the most difficult one you have to make, but you must look out for your own livelihood because no one else will. Of course, you have a duty to do everything in your power to help your family and friends understand your illness. Give them books, websites, even pamphlets from your doctors office to try and make them an ally because you want as many people on your side as possible. Give them some time to soak it all in, just as you need to give yourself time. Navigating the career world can be tough even when you dont have a mental illness, but add that illness in on top of that and you have a recipe for disaster. I have found that the biggest problem facing the workforce today is stress. How do you handle it when you have a mental illness as well? The first thing I did when I became too stressed was to go to my boss and explain the situation. This can be scary since not every boss is going to understand. But you have rights under laws that protect you from discrimination (check your local mental health organization to find out exactly what they are in your area). If you absolutely cannot go to your boss you have a couple of options. The most obvious one is: seek out a new job. The less obvious is to try different coping skills that can help you manage the stress. Many good books exist on the topic and some colleges even offer classes in stress management. Another problematic area for many women is maintaining the family home. Unfortunately, even in todays progressive times, keeping the house falls mainly on the shoulders of the woman. This, of course, is something that can be changed. Sit down with your family and explain that youre not in this alone; youre in it together. Everyone must pitch in and do their part. Come up with a list of chores that everyone can partake in. Agree upon who will do what around the house to help you. If you dont ask for help, youll never get it. If they refuse to help, then resolve that a perfect home is something you might not achieve and realize that its okay. Not everyone has an immaculate house sometimes its just not that important. PMS. This is a sentence all in itself. A woman with a mental illness must realize that most woman deal with PMS. Its usually just a bit more emotional for someone who suffers from a mood disorder like depression or bipolar. I suggest keeping a log of your cycle and your moods that go along with it. By keeping a log, you can identify when the onset of PMS should begin (if you have a regular cycle at least). Knowing this information will help not only you, but also those around you. You will realize that possibly your moodiness can be attributed to PMS and not an instability in yourself. Simply realizing this is a hormonal influence should help you cope better. If you have an extreme case of PMS, talk to your doctor about it they can provide you with alternatives. The last item I want to discuss is an illness or death of a loved one. Everyone is affected differently when it comes to a severe illness or death of a family member or close friend. The grieving process is a set of five stages: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. The stages dont always flow in that exact order and often you will experience some of the stages several times before arriving at acceptance. Dont beat yourself up for being angry or depressed over the situation. These are perfectly acceptable feelings to have when dealing with grief. Give yourself extra time to sort through your emotions. Seek comfort with whomever you find can offer you guidance. It may take a little longer, but eventually you will feel better. In extreme cases, if you feel you are not moving past the grief, I recommend seeking counseling. To wrap this up I simply want to mention that a woman with any sort of mental illness needs all of the support and understanding she can find. She needs to know as much about her illness as possible, and needs to know what warning signs to look for so she can identify the onset of an episode of depression or mania. I wish the best for every woman out there suffering from any sort of mental illness. As my favorite psychiatrist used to saybe gentle with yourself. Terry J. Coyier is a 37-year-old college student studying for an Associates of Applied Sciences degree. She is also a freelance writer who writes about bipolar disorder and other mental illnesses. Candles - Why People are Making Their Own

By John Gibb Candles are very cheap: you can get hundreds of small candles in a bag for the price of a Happy Meal, and the bigger ones arent much more expensive. When its so easy to just buy your candles in a shop, why on earth would you want to make candles yourself? Well, thats like asking why youd want to do a painting yourself when you could buy a print and put it in a frame. Candle making is an art, with often beautiful results, not to mention the fun time you can have while youre making the candles. Candle making today belongs thoroughly in the arts and crafts category, which means that you can get all the equipment and waxes youll need from your local crafts shop. To make a candle, all you really need to do is get some wax and melt it in a pan (you can even use wax from mass-produced candles if you cant find any plain wax). Once the wax is melted, you can add dye if the wax isnt already coloured. Then just put the wick (the string that burns) into a mould, pour in the wax and leave it to set. Again, if you cant get a real candle mould, you can improvise with disposable household objects, such as half a milk carton or some other kind of bottle. Of course, that basic method is just the beginning. Once youve got that down, you can start mixing different coloured waxes, and using more complicated moulds, and even adding things like glitter and other decoration. You can add small objects like shiny pebbles into the hot wax, or even cover larger objects in wax to make them into big candles. If you need more inspiration, the chances are that the craft shop (or the library) will have books about candle making, with more in-depth recipes that you can either follow directly or incorporate in your own designs. John Gibb is the owner of candle-making guides For more information on candle - making please check out http://www.candle-making-guide4u.info Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=John_Gibb http://EzineArticles.com/?Candles—Why-People-are-Making-Their-Own&id=238894 vicodin valium oxycodone online buy valium in turkey without prescription where can i buy xanax or valium online buy valium in the uk

Ham Radio Operators Coffee Mug

By Dave Glass Almost any place that you look if there are Amateur (Ham) Radio Operators at least one has a coffee mug in their hand, if they are operating a radio it is sitting next to the rig! It depends where they are, at the talk-in (TI) for a Hamfest or just ragchewing the mug is not far away. If they are operating at home (in their radio shack) just rag chewing (talking) to a friend or maybe they have just made a contact miles away from where they live, a coffee mug is not far from their reach! Even if they are operating some digital transmission/receiving the cup is not far from their reach so that when they can take a sip it is right there! This mug has their call sign and/or the date of their operating ticket or latest upgrade and their name. When a bunch of hams get together for a field day, the coffee pot(s) are going all the time to keep some fresh coffee around. The operators are always filling their cups (the cups are empty) between transmissions. Some maybe operating voice or digital such as Morse code or packet on a HF frequency, while others are operating the same modes on VHF or UHF frequencies. No matter what they are operating on the radios, the ones watching (or waiting their turn), and the ones just rag chewing with each other the invaluable coffee mug is close by each one. These mugs usually have the club or main call sign and the date of the activity! At work or at play the Ham Radio Operator usually has coffee mug at their disposal! These mugs can have the time and date of Amateur Radio Club meetings ( 7PM third Tuesday of each Month), and the club call sign. It can also have the dates of the next Hamfest with the talk-in channel for advertisement! Just think of the possibilities that can be put on a coffee mug even the dates and frequencies of the next DXpedition that members or other hams are doing. It does not matter where these Ham Operators are or what they are doing, each time the mug is raised for a sip or whatever it is an advertisement for what is on the coffee mug. Coffee mugs are a very important tool for just about every Ham Radio Operator and these people are every where! So to get more operators or prospective Amateur Radio Operators at your next meeting, hamfest, DXpedition, or special event station, one of the best advertising methods is to put it on coffee mugs and distribute them to Amateur Radio Operators. Dave did not change his call sign from KD4YFL to his current call of KS4LI until he was licensed as Amateur Advanced in 1995. After receiving his Amateur Extra License in 1996 he served with several teams that gave licensing exams from Amateur Novice to Amateur Extra including the Morse code exams that were part of the licensing structure at that time. Choosing the Right Product Combination for Weight Loss

By Chris Robertson Weight loss is the focus of millions of people every day. That’s why the weight loss product market is full of vitamins and minerals, supplements, fat burners, health shakes, fitness equipment, etc. This wide variety of products can assist in weight loss, but which products do you choose? Here are some great tips for choosing the right combination of weight loss products. Vitamins and Nutritional Supplements An important factor in weight loss is getting the right amount of vitamins and nutritional supplements. There are hundreds of products on the market with different brands such as TwinLab, Met-Rx, Glutamine, EAS, Muscletech, etc. Among these brand names are different health and weight loss supplements such as Vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K or nutritional supplements such as CLA, protein blends, antioxidants, etc. So, you’ll want to choose supplements that fit well with your weight loss diet and lifestyle. To decide which vitamins are right for you, keep a journal of the foods you eat. Determine which vitamins you are already getting plenty of by researching online or at your local library. It may be that you are getting a whole lot of one particular vitamin, but hardly any of another. The vitamins that are lacking in your diet are the ones you want to supplement with vitamin pills or a nutritional supplement. Your weight loss efforts will be safe and more effective if you are getting the right amount of vitamins and nutrition. Sports Nutrition Products If you enjoy playing sports or are very active, then sports nutrition products can help boost your energy and give you the zeal you need to succeed. There are a variety of weight loss and sports products available to build muscle and strength such as protein powders and shakes, nutrition bars, muscle building formula tablets, etc. There are also metabolism boosters, oxygen supplements, amino acid blends, whey protein, and more. See your physician before using these products to be sure they are safe for you. Herbal Choices Another option for weight loss is to supplement your diet using herbal choices. Herbal products are natural blends of the vitamins you need without harmful chemicals. They are great for weight loss because they usually don’t have ingredients that could hinder your body’s ability to burn fat and calories. Some great herbal choices are CoQ10 with Creatine, St. John’s Wort, DHEA, Saw Palmetto, Ginko Biloba, etc. With herbs, you’re getting similar weight loss benefits as those of other supplements, but in an all-natural way. Diet Related Products With every weight loss diet, there are related products that fit well with that diet. For example, with the Zone Diet there are products such as books, nutritional Zone bars, Zone meals, etc. For Weight Watchers, there are snacks and meals produced by the company to assist in weight loss. Every diet is unique, so these products help to stick with the plan. Finding the right weight loss products is easy once you become familiar with the categories above. Determine which category will best fit your lifestyle and weight loss needs. You’ll see those extra pounds melt away in no time and enjoy a healthier body for life! Beat the Heat - 7 Tips to Help Your Lawn Survive a Drought

By Matt Morrison With temperatures rising and rain fall decreasing, summer time is putting a serious strain on your lawn. If you are not careful, your lawn could end up dead. No rain and water restrictions can really take a shot at your ability to take care of your lawn. However, there are some tried and true tips that are sure to beat the summer heat. When your lawn is suffering from a drought, these tips will help you survive: 1. Raise the blades on your mower. Taller grass provides more protection from sun and grows deeper roots, which makes it more resilient. 2. Resist the temptation to bag your lawn and use a mulching mower instead. The clippings will provide a barrier that keeps moisture in your lawn longer. 3. Aerate your lawn twice a year (fall and spring) to keep out thatch and help the roots grow deeper. 4. Sharpen your lawnmower blade. Dull blades put your grass under lots of undue stress. Stressed grass needs more water. 5. Water early in the morning and when it is not windy to avoid unnecessary evaporation of your rationed water. 6. Use a drip type irrigation system like a soaker hose. It put water in the ground, where it is needed, more efficiently. 7. Do not fertilize in the summer. Experts will tell you that fertilized lawns are more sensitive to heat and require more water. Green is definitely a color to envy in the heart of the summer. Do yourself a favor and follow these tips to keep a green lawn that makes your neighbors squirm with envy.
